Sylvie Collu's "Strip Art" is a revival of traditional pop art renewed with a new technique she patented.

Favorite subjects are icons from the worlds of music, cinema, art and fashion.

Sylvie works graphically on the subject she wants to immortalize, partially covering it with a weave of strips of fine art painted photographic paper, matching the edges with the background subject, giving a final three-dimensional effect. The painting is then completed by a plexiglass case whose final result is original and of great impact, ideal for all environments. Movement: Neo Pop Art

Sylvie Collu

Sylvie Collu artist  French born, in his artistic career, as a professional photographer in fashion.

Look for materials, textures and colors that he photographs in nature or during his walks in the city. From these photographs are born the tools of his artistic language. The graphic creation of the iconic image will then be partially covered by several dozen strips of photographic paper cut with a cutter, then intertwined one by one. Time-consuming cutting and gluing creates depth and three-dimensionality in the character represented. This intertwined and overlapping vision of “Strip Art” constitutes his unique and inimitable touch to his works.
